TORO PRIZE TV COMES IN HANDY FOR DEALER SALESMAN STEVE
Steve Bartlett, of Handy Garden Machinery, Swindon, was the lucky winner of a £1,200 Sony 40in LCD TV in Toro Consumer’s 2007 dealer sales promotion. Dealer salesman, Steve, centre, is pictured (see picture attached) with Toro Consumer Division’s Kim Macfie, left, and David Jackman after winning the top prize.
Toro put prizes worth a total of £5,000 up for grabs in a great prize draw as part of the dealer campaign. Three other dealers – Darren Scott, from DJ Scott Garden Machinery, Warnford, near Southampton, Derek Nowell, Bolton Abbey Mowers, Ilkley, West Yorkshire, and Dave Smith, Sims Garden Machinery, Stratford-upon-Avon – all won runners-up prizes of Tom Tom Sat. Nav. kits. Altogether, dealer sales staff from 13 different Toro dealerships won prizes, which also included Panasonic DVD recorders, iPod Nanos and Bush DVD players.
Other dealer sales staff won Toro blouson jackets in a recycler mower quiz competition.
The campaign used a mixture of promotional items such as outdoor display banners, product information tags, POS counter display leaflets and local press adverts to promote awareness of Toro mowing products and the green credentials of their special recycler technology.
Kim Macfie, who heads up the Toro Consumer Division at distributor Lely UK, says: “This campaign helped boost sales for us and, I’m sure, our dealers too. Congratulations to Steve and our other winners and thank you to all our dealers who participated in the campaign.”
